Star Fox by Makkon Star Fox by Makkon
Homage to my childhood hero. I still remember playing Star Fox 64 right out of the box on Christmas day. Fond memories...

EDIT: Fixed the round, poofy face. Hope it's an improvement.

Some Joe pointed out that the characters have mechanical legs. Explanation ?

Their lower legs are amputated and replaced with mechanical legs to prevent passing out from intense blood flow to the lower body from gforce while taking sharp turns.

Such is the nature of science fiction, even though the information we exchanged is never mentioned in any official publication from nintendo, and it likely fan-invented.

I'm not the best person to ask for tips unless you have something specific to ask about.

I do it the same an anyone else. I quickly draw in the gesture and overall motion of the character, then I refine shapes and check proportions and angles.
This video should be helpful:

Other than that, you need a lot of practice to teach your hand how to move to make certain shapes and poses, as well as to build a library in your brain of these poses. I suggest drawing gestures from a site like Quickposes. www.quickposes.com/pages/chall…
