I can't shake the feeling that the edge on the mesa in the middle-ground look a bit too sharp on the left side. That's the only thing I can think of.

Maybe you think it's "weak" because it's so open and vast - but I think that's what makes it work. I think it's gorgeous!

I think the composition is fine considering the atmosphere given with it. It has a coolness to it, like there's a harsh wind and the only way to cross such a landmass is to go to each pillar of rock one at a time, the flag adds a nice touch that can act as a wind reader to any travelers. Maybe you could add another pillar in the background in perspective with the rightmost one. But I think it's awesome the way it is.

I really don't think this is weak. I think it's pretty good. Love the colors, and I like how you used the brushes. It makes the rocks look voluminous, especially the one in the front. Nothing wrong imo with composition either.
